Chlorine Dioxide is an effective anti microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral agent. Far more effective than chlorine or iodine, and much less expensive. Kills by oxidizing, not by chlorination. Leaves no chlorine aftertaste. It is nontoxic and non carcinogenic. A 25%-30% Sodium Chlorite Solution is an effective means for an individual to purify their personal water supply. This stabilized oxygen product can be added to water alone, or mixed with a weak acid activator to speed the process. No matter where you are....hiking, camping, or traveling abroad, you can always be assured of clean germ free water.

Sodium Chlorite Solution, when added to water or activated, begins to produce chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide literally destroys all pathogens it contacts by compromising the pathogens molecular structure. The bacteria, and viruses cannot build a tolerance or defense against oxidation. No matter how long you use it it will always be effective. In just a short time the Chlorine Dioxide will dissipate and leave you with fresh, clean water with no chlorine aftertaste.

In solid form sodium chlorite is unstable and commonly mixed with about 20% sodium chloride. Commercially it is commonly produced and shipped as a 25-31% solution in water. For end users in the food and agricultural industries it is available as a 5% solution. In the US and the UK it is also available as tablets that release chlorine dioxide (e.g. releasing 4 ppm per1 liter or per 30 liter of water). In Germany and Italy chlorine dioxide is the main treatment chemical for public water supplies.

We also stock a 22.4% solution of Sodium Chlorite. This solution is commonly sold under the acronym MMS, and marketed on some sites as a Mineral Supplement. We do not include the "MMS PROTOCOLS" on this site. Our instructions and products are specifically marketed and meant to be used as a water purifier. One must remember to make the distinction between MMS solution, and the MMS protocols of Jim Humble. Sodium Chlorite has been used for decades as a water purifier and disinfectant.

Instructions for using 22.4% - 30% Sodium Chlorite Solution to purify water.

FOR LONG TERM STORAGE OF WATER
Use 1-2 drops of 28% of solution for each gallon of well water or tap water you wish to store.
Water will be purified in 8 hours. Do not use an activator for long term storage.

FOR STANDING WATER, OR WATER FROM A SUSPECT SOURCE
Use 3-4 drops of sodium chlorite solution to each gallon of water. Let stand for 8-10 hours before drinking.

FOR PURE WATER ON DEMAND USE A WEAK ACID ACTIVATOR
(A 10% citric acid solution is recommended, but lemon juice or white vinegar will work.)
Use the standard amount per gallon as shown above.
Do not add directly to water, mix solution and activator in separate container.
Add 5 drops of activator for each drop of Sodium Chlorite.
Mix and wait 3 minutes, then add the solution and activator to water.
Wait 15 minutes before drinking.

FOR USE AS A SURFACE AND FOOD DISINFECTANT
Mix 8-10 drops of sodium chlorite solution with 5 times the activator.
Wait 3 minutes, add to one gallon of water.
Wash fruits. vegetables, and any non porous surface.
No need to rinse. Let air dry.
Leaves no residue or aftertaste.
